The Nationals take on the O’s in DC in the final game before Opening Day
The Washington Nationals are playing their last game before they count today. They have headed back up north to take on the Baltimore Orioles in an exhibition. This is a fun moment for the two local franchises who’s relationship is now improved following the MASN settlement.
The Nats are going to be running out something that resembles their Opening Day lineup. These should be the players that are in the lineup, but the batting order might change.

On the mound, the Nationals are going to send out Jake Irvin. The right handers velocity was down over two ticks in his last time out, so I will be looking at the radar gun closely. He has also yet to really integrate his new slider into his arsenal.
It is also very exciting to see the boys back at Nationals Park. The Nats have not played a game on home turf since September 29th, when they played the Phillies.
A peculiar thing about this lineup is Luis Garcia Jr. in the 8 hole. The second baseman was arguably the Nats best hitter last year, so seeing him that low in the lineup is a surprise. Hopefully he will be hitting higher in the lineup once the real season starts.
I am very excited to see Nats baseball back in the Nations Capital, and i’m so ready for this 162 game journey. This game starts at 1:05 EST and will be live on MASN. The radio call will be on 106.7 The Fan.
