Follow along as the Nationals begin their massive ten game road trip
The Washington Nationals are going to be out of town for a while. They are going on a 10 game road trip where they will face off against some of the weaker teams in the NL. First on the schedule is a Miami Marlins team which has been surprisingly scrappy.
There were actually changes to the original lineup posted because Nathaniel Lowe was ill. Due to that, Josh Bell will get his first start at first base of the season. James Wood will slide into the DH role as Alex Call takes his spot in left field. Mitchell Parker is taking the mound looking to continue his hot start.
Updated lineup:
Abrams – SS
Wood – DH
Ruiz – C
García Jr. – 2B
Bell – 1B
Call – LF
DeJong – 3B
Crews – RF
Young – CF https://t.co/iehtqHgB9t— Nationals Communications (@NationalsComms) April 11, 2025
There are not a ton of familiar names in the Marlins lineup these days. Young shortstop Xavier Edwards in their best hitter and is a speedy leadoff man. The flame throwing but wild Edward Cabrera will take the mound.
