Follow along as the Nationals look to salvage a split in an early afternoon showdown in Pittsburgh
After such a positive home stand, this road trip against seemingly beatable teams has gone sideways. The Nats lost the series against the Marlins and are looking to salvage a split in Pittsburgh today after yet another bullpen meltdown.
Davey Martinez has made some tweaks to the lineup. Riley Adams will get his second start of the season this afternoon. With a day game after a night game, it made sense to give Keibert Ruiz a day off.
James Wood will be DH’ing today, with Alex Call, Jacob Young and Dylan Crews making up the outfield. Trevor Williams will take the mound looking to bounce back from a rough start in Miami.

There are a lot of familiar faces in this Pirates lineup. However, we will be seeing Joey Bart for the first time this series. The Pirates starting catcher missed the past few games with an injury. Veteran Andrew Heaney will take the mound for the Pirates.
Wrapping up the series vs. the Nationals.

The Nationals need this game badly. If they drop this one, the road trip has fully gone off the rails. It is a big start for Trevor Williams, who needs to step up. Follow along down below, and let’s go Nats!
