With the win, the Orioles kept pace with the Yankees at 1.5 games back in the AL East, gained a game over the second wild card Royals to pull three ahead (plus the tiebreaker), and continued at 7.5 games ahead (plus the tiebreaker) over the Red Sox. They are 78-58 for the season and on pace to win 93 games.
