
Samuel Basallo launched a no-doubter for his 13th homer of the season, and Enrique Bradfield Jr. threw out the potential tying run in the 11th inning.
Triple-A: Norfolk Tides vs. Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp PPD — Rain
Norfolk’s game was called early in the day for anticipated inclement weather. The teams will make up the game today as part of a single admission doubleheader starting at 5:35 p.m.
Double-A: Akron RubberDucks (Guardians) 6, Bowie Baysox 3
TT Bowens provided Bowie an early lead with a two-run homer in the top of the first, but the Baysox failed to extend the advantage. Samuel Basallo provided the only additional offense with a solo homer in the eighth.

Peter Van Loon limited Akron to one run in the first three innings, but Bradley Brehmer allowed five runs (four earned) between the fourth and the fifth. Logan Rinehart and Dylan Heid combined for three scoreless innings to end the game.
High-A: Aberdeen IronBirds 3, Jersey Shore BlueClaws (Phillies) 2
Neither team scored in the first six innings. Aberdeen starter Zach Fruit limited Jersey Shore to only one hit over the first five frames. Fruit struck out six and walked a pair.
Enrique Bradfield Jr. finally scored the first run in the seventh. Bradfield walked, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error. Unfortunately, Kyle Virbitsky allowed the tying run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom half.
Douglas Hodo III gave the IronBirds the lead with a sacrifice fly in the tenth inning, but Yaqui Rivera surrendered a game-tying single in the bottom half.
Adam Retzbach scored the third run of the game on a wild pitch in the 11th, and Aberdeen escaped after Jersey Shore loaded the bases with nobody out. Tavian Josenberger recorded the first out of the inning with a strong throw home from second base, and Enrique Bradfield Jr. made the game-winning throw home on a sacrifice fly attempt.
Low-A: Fredericksburg Nationals 6, Delmarva Shorebirds 1
After scoring 17 runs on Wednesday, Delmarva managed only one last night. Leandro Arias trimmed the deficit to three with an RBI single in the eighth, but the Nationals tacked on two more in the bottom half of the frame.
Aron Estrada recorded two of Delmarva’s five hits. Maikol Hernández notched the only extra-base hit with a double in the ninth.
Riley Cooper started and allowed one run in 3.2 innings.
