Samuel Basallo launched his first Triple-A homer, and the Tides exploded for seven runs in the 10th inning.
Triple-A: Norfolk Tides 12, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Marlins) 7
Samuel Basallo nearly recorded his first Triple-A homer in the seventh inning, but the first base umpire ruled the ball just foul. Instead of sulking, Basallo straightened things out. The 20-year-old launched a ball later in the at bat for his first home run with the Tides.
“You know what they say, ball don’t lie!”
