The Visit Harford board of directors is pleased to announce the selection of Tyler Zeisloft as their new executive director.
Zeisloft has been with Visit Harford since 2023 in the role of marketing and communications coordinator and is immersed within the community as the vice president of Bel Air Recreation Council’s baseball program and vice president of Tidewater Players in Havre de Grace, according to Visit Harford.
“The Visit Harford Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome Tyler Zeisloft as our new Executive Director. With his passion and knowledge for our community and experience in tourism promotion, we are confident that Tyler will lead Visit Harford to new heights, showcasing the best our county has to offer to visitors from near and far,” Jay Ellenby, president of Visit Harford board of directors said in a statement.
Zeisloft currently serves on the communications committee for the Maryland Tourism Coalition where he works with partners in the tourism industry to bring awareness of the coalition to businesses in Maryland and its benefits, according to Visit Harford. He was previously a member of the Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance, which represents multiple states in the region.
“As a lifelong resident of Harford County, my passion for the county, its citizens and the businesses within run incredibly deep. I am honored to be chosen as the Executive Director of such a notable organization within the tourism industry to represent this beautiful county. Thank you to the Board of Directors and its Executive Board for choosing me to lead the way moving forward,” Zeisloft said in a statement.
Harford Community College to hold Community College Promise Scholarship Info event
Harford Community College will hold a Community College Promise Scholarship Info event, Feb. 6 from 6-7:30 p.m. in Edgewood Hall, Room 132.
Learn about the Maryland Community College Promise Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance for eligible applicants to attend community college in their county for free, according to the college. Over its five-year run, Harford has awarded more than $1.6 million in financial aid to 500 students from both credit and noncredit programs.

The 2025 ATHENA Award finalists have been announced.
The ATHENA Leadership Awards recognize exemplary leadership and professional excellence, according to Harford Community College.
The ATHENA Leadership Award recognizes an accomplished individual who actively supports women in attaining professional excellence and leadership skills, according to HCC. It recognizes all that recipients have accomplished as well as how they have paved the path for future successes.
The ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award celebrates emerging leaders between the ages of 22 and 40 who demonstrate professional excellence and clearly serve as a professional and personal role model for women and girls, according to HCC. The ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award is presented to an organization or business that amplifies and celebrates leaders who are women. The award highlights organizations that create a culture of inclusive leadership and create opportunities for women’s professional advancement and growth.
The ATHENA Award is a program of the ATHENA Foundation, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for women, according to HCC.

Celebrate the dedication and achievements of the finalists at the 2025 ATHENA Leadership Award Breakfast, March 7 from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Water’s Edge Event Center, 4687 Millennium Drive, Belcamp.
The event is hosted by the Harford Community College Foundation and presented by PK Law. The keynote speaker is Ranger Angela Crenshaw, director of the Maryland Park Service.
