Jones was originally drafted by the Wizards with the No. 26 overall pick before trading him to New York.
I went to bed at around midnight last night. But sure enough, a Washington Wizards draft pick who got traded, got traded again while I was asleep!
So early Thursday morning, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced that they acquired the rights to No. 26 overall pick Dillon Jones from the New York Knicks in exchange for five future second round draft picks. The Knicks got the rights to the No. 26 overall pick from the Wizards who had that pick last night after a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Sure, Jones was only a Wizard for a few moments, at least technically speaking. But I was surprised to see how quickly Jones got traded.
