Here are some of the things that stood out to me:
- There are six phases of construction, the first which has already started, which involves the elevator system. The heavy lifting begins in the summer.
- The arena will have a new facade when it’s all done.
- The Washington Wizards and Capitals will have new locker rooms that are about twice as large as they are now, post renovation. They will also have separate training facilities.
- United Airlines will sponsor the new courtside/rinkside ticket holders lounge, as well as a new two level club.
- Of course, the concessions will be redone.
