If you’ve made travel plans to attend tonight’s game between the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards at the Little Caesars Arena, you might want to try getting a refund ASAP.
According to NBA insiders Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic, the Pistons-Wizards game is being postponed. The game is currently scheduled for 7 p.m. ET in Detroit, however the weather has created too many issues.
The Pistons are coming off a road trip to Dallas for a game against the Mavericks. However, inclement weather combined with mechanical issues for the team’s plane has kept them from even getting off the ground to travel home to Detroit.
With less than seven hours to go before tipoff, it’s clear that the Pistons won’t be back in time to properly prepare. We can probably expect an official announcement soon.

If it’s any consolation for viewers, it’s not exactly a battle of the titans that they’re missing. The Pistons have the worst record in the East and the second-worst in the NBA at 13-39. They’ve won back-to-back games only once all season.
The Wizards, meanwhile, are contending for a play-in spot right now at 24-26. They dominated on the road in January, going 8-5 overall and 6-2 on the road.
Wes Unseld Jr’s team is currently riding a six-game winning streak as they try to get above .500 for the first time since November.
