The men’s basketball group stage begins today!

The 2024 Olympic men’s basketball tournament begins today! Here is the schedule of games.
Men’s Basketball Schedule for July 27
All games can be streamed on Peacock in Les États-Unis. Check NBCSports.com to see if a game is on television. Every game in the group stage will be at Decathlon Arena (or Stade Pierre Mauroy due to the IOC’s so-called ban on naming rights even though Coca-Cola and Visa are sponsors) in Lille.
Today’s games are featuring teams in Groups A and B. Times are in Eastern Time. Parisian or Central European Time is six hours ahead of Eastern Time.
- Group A: Australia vs. Spain at 5 a.m.
- Group B: Germany vs. Japan at 7:30 a.m.
- Group B: France vs. Brazil at 11:15 a.m.
- Group A: Greece vs. Canada at 3 p.m.
Group C games begin tomorrow, July 28.

There were eight basketball players, including 3×3 players, who were holding the flags for their countries for the opening ceremonies. We already mentioned these two:
- Emma Meesseman, Belgium (Belgique)
- LeBron James, United States (États-Unis)
But six more players were also holding their countries’ flags on the Seine River last night:
- Dennis Schroder, Germany (Allemagne)
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Greece (Grèce)
- Kuany Kuany, South Sudan (Soudan du sud)
- Przemyslaw Zamjoski, Poland (Pologne) for men’s 3×3
- Nauris Miezis, Latvia (Lettonie) for men’s 3X3
- Worthy de Jong, Netherlands (Pays-Bas) for men’s 3X3
