I feel that this is a mixed bag. But let me know.
The Washington Mystics have named Jamila Wideman as their new General Manager and Sydney Johnson as their new Head Coach. Read more about them below.
Last Tuesday, I hosted an X space and Playback stream with Edward Strand of The Roundball Report, a local cable television program in Maryland. Listen to the space below:

In addition to chatting about John Wall wishing to make an NBA comeback, we chatted about the hires and weren’t thrilled. Edward critiqued Johnson’s hire considering other coaching candidates, like Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Lindsey Harding were reportedly in consideration.
Both of us were not overly impressed with Wideman either, but she has spent the last six years with the NBA, developing league wide programs. We find her focus on the holistic athlete intriguing, but we want to know how she and Monumental Basketball President Michael Winger will shape the roster in the months ahead.
Below, I have two polls. First grade Wideman’s hiring. Then grade Johnson’s. Looking forward to the results of these polls.
