Injuries
Wizards — Saddiq Bey (knee) is out for sure. Kyle Kuzma, Corey Kispert, Kyshawn George, Malcolm Brogdon and Tristan Vukcevic also sat out last Friday, and are questionable for Sunday.
Celtics — Jayson Tatum, Sam Hauser and Jaden Springer are day-to-day.
Game Notes
The Wizards come into Sunday’s game after losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers last night. They will also do something that’s unusual in the pre-NBA Cup Era: One team having THREE regular season games against the same opponent. That’s what’s happening this season between the Wizards and
Celtics. Washington is hosting the defending NBA champions three times this season. They already hosted Boston on Oct. 24 for the home opener and then on Friday, Nov. 22. Yes, the Wizards played the Celtics just 10 days ago in NBA Cup action, but was on the road. Maybe the Wizards can get a surprise win tomorrow night.
Washington has one more match against the Celtics when they would travel to Boston for a game on Apr. 6.
