Game Notes
Saturday night’s game with the Wizards and the Knicks was a great game that had both teams playing their very first overtime game of the season. Of course, this ended with the Knicks pulling out the victory, 136-132, after trailing for most of the game.
The Wizards just could not find an answer for Jalen Brunson, who scored a season-high 55 points. Wizards were without Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole, but they found a way to hang in that game despite all of those things working against them.
For Monday night’s game, it’s going to be much like a playoff series in the sense that both teams will have to make some adjustments based on how the previous game went. For the Wizards, it’s going to be about finding more effective ways of slowing down Brunson, while the Knicks will have to find ways to get more scoring output outside of Karl-Anthony Towns and Brunson. These two accounted 63 percent of the Knicks’ scoring.
If Monday’s game is anything like Saturday’s game, it should be another entertaining matchup.
