Game Notes
The Wizards played a very up and down game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday. Wizards were able to build a 21-point lead, but squandered it and nearly lost. The game ended up being a victory thanks to the heroics of Jordan Poole’s late game 3 pointer.
Saturday will be an even bigger test as they will be playing against the New York Knicks. The Wizards will play against the Knicks on the back half of a back-to-back for the Knicks, as they will be the Orlando Magic on Friday evening.
For the Wizards, the first matchup did not end up well, with a 134-106 loss earlier this season. Knicks are currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference and looking to climb up the standings as they are starting to gel with their new core featuring newcomer Karl-Anthony Towns. For the Wizards, they are looking to build some momentum after Thursday’s victory. Should be an interesting matchup against two teams on very different paths this season.
