The Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and multiple other teams are keeping an eye on the Washington Wizards forward.
Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma remains one of the top trade targets for aspiring NBA championship-level teams, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. These teams include the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers.
It is not a surprise that multiple teams are interested in Kuzma. He is a well-liked NBA veteran who played a key role on the Lakers’ 2019-20 championship team. Also, last season, he was nearly traded to the Mavericks.
This season, Kuzma is averaging 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, which is significantly down from his career-best 2023-24 season when he averaged 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. But we also have to keep in mind that Kuzma would have less attention on him should he play for a contender, whether later this season or in the near future. After all, he is one of the top options on a rebuilding team.
