The Washington Wizards signed center John Butler Jr. and forward Taylor Funk to Exhibit 10 contracts. Both Butler and Funk are expected to play for the Capital City Go-Go of the G League after the preseason.
Butler played in 49 games (20 starts) for the Go-Go last season. The 7-footer averaged 6.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game. Butler also shot 39.5% on 3.3 three-point attempts per game.
Funk split last season between the Go-Go and the Maine Celtics. In 50 total G League games, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Funk also shot 35.6% on 5.7 three-point attempts per game.
