NHL Predictions
Toronto Maple Leafs vs Washington Capitals
Time: 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Sportsnet; Monument Sports Network; ESPN+
Our opening and featured game NHL predictions has the Maple Leafs trying to bounce back against the Capitals. Toronto is expected to go with Joseph Woll in between the pipes. However, always check social media before locking in a daily fantasy starter. The Leafs are coming off a flat 3-0 performance against the Ottawa Senators last time out. Auston Matthews may still be out of the lineup for the game for Toronto. William Nylander is first on the team in goals with 11, but Mitch Marner is first in assists (16) and points (20).
Washington will counter with Logan Thompson n goal for this game. The Capitals have gotten off to a great start and much of that has to do with Alex Ovechkin and his team-leading 10 goals. Dylan Strome leads the team in assists (18) and points (22) so far this season. Washington is 10-4 and is keeping pace in the Metropolitan Division.
Toronto will hopefully come up with a better effort. However, it’s still in the second game of a back-to-back.
Prediction: Capitals win 3-2.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Anaheim Ducks
Head-to-Head: Golden Knights 1-0 Ducks
Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: Scripps Vegas; KCOP; ESPN+
It’s a Pacific Division matchup as the Anaheim Ducks host the Vegas Golden Knights. Adin Hill is the expected starter for the Golden Knights, who have lost two consecutive games. Vegas is without Mark Stone, who is a major part of the team. Jack Eichel is first in assists (19) and points (24) while Ivan Barbashev is first in goals with eight.
Anaheim is expected to go with Lukas Dostal in between the pipes for this one. The Ducks did beat the Columbus Blue Jackets last time out. Troy Terry is first on the team in goals (5) and points (11). However, he’s tied for first in assists with six with Mason McTavish.
Vegas is feeling lost without Stone, but should rebound in this one.
Prediction: Golden Knights win 3-1.
Los Angeles Kings vs Colorado Avalanche
Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
TV: TNT; TruTV; Sportsnet 360
Our final game of NHL predictions has the Los Angeles Kings traveling to the Colorado Avalanche. Darcy Kuemper is the expected starter for a Kings team that’s first place in the Pacific Division. Alex Laferriere is off to a surprisingly fast start with nine goals while ageless Anze Kopitar leads in points with 18.
Colorado is slated to go with Alexandar Georgiev in goal. The Avalanche have won two straight games and have seemingly stabilized after a rough start. Nathan MacKinnon is off to another trademark start with 23 assists and 30 points. However, Mikko Rantanen is first on the club in goals with nine.
The Avalanche have just a little more firepower and continue their upward trend.
Prediction: Avalanche win 4-3.
