Evan Nelson, the 6-foot-2 grad transfer from Harvard, has committed to Arizona, per multiple reports.
Nelson, a Tucson native who had Arizona as his dream school in high school at Salpointe Catholic, averaged 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists last year for the Crimson.
When Evan Nelson was a guard at Salpointe Catholic, I asked him about his dream college.
“Obviously U of A,” he said in 2019. “Coach (Sean) Miller and those guys are the reason why I looked up that school the most.”
Now he gets to live out that dream.

Nelson is coach Tommy Lloyd’s first portal addition after the Wildcats lost guard KJ Lewis (Georgetown), center Henri Veesaar (North Carolina) and center Emmanuel Stephen (UNLV).
