For the second time in school history, Auburn sits as the No. 1 team in the country. The Tigers previously held the No. 1 spot for three consecutive weeks in 2022.
Another SEC team — Georgia — sees itself in the AP poll for the first time since 2012 after double-digit wins over Kentucky and Oklahoma, both who were ranked last week.
The SEC overall dominates the poll once again with the five top-10 teams (Auburn, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Tennessee, No. 8 Kentucky). It also has nine teams ranked overall, most of any league. The Big 10 comes in second with six, followed by the Big 12 with four.
The full poll is as follows:
- Auburn
- Iowa State
- Duke
- Alabama
- Florida
- Tennessee
- Marquette
- Kentucky
- Kansas
- Houston
- Texas A&M
- Michigan State
- Oregon
- UConn
- Mississippi State
- Gonzaga
- Purdue
- Memphis
- Illinois
- Michigan
- Ole Miss
- Utah State
- Georgia
- Wisconsin
- Baylor
Some of the biggest fallers include Illinois (down six spots) and Tennessee and UConn (both down five spots). Michigan State and Michigan are both up four spots and lead the Big 10 conference standings.
