The flight taking No. 9 Auburn to Saturday’s game against No. 4 Houston was diverted back to Auburn after some “horseplay” involving Tigers players, a source told ZAGSBLOG.
The Tigers were expected to take a later flight to Houston for the game.
“It was horseplay,” one source close to the situation said. Asked if it could have escalated into a fight, the source said, “It could’ve but one kid was completely joking.”
One media report said there was a “physical altercation” involving Chad Baker-Mazara and Drake and Dylan Cardwell, but the source said none of those players were involved.
“None of them,” the source said.
An Auburn spokesman did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
SOURCE: Soon after the Auburn men’s basketball team’s flight took off, a physical altercation took place between Chad Baker-Mazara and the Cardwell brothers (Drake and Dylan). The three players had to be restrained as the flight landed back in Auburn. More to come.

Jeff Goodman also reported the incident involved “horseplay.”
Predictably, the Internet had fun with the incident.
