Efeosa Oliogu, the No. 87 overall prospect in the 2025 class, has committed to Butler, per his Instagram page.
Oliogu — the 6-foot-6, 220-pound small forward from William Academy in Ontario — chose Butler over Arizona State, Maryland, Memphis, TCU and others.
“The minute I got there, it just felt like I was at home,” Oliogu said in his announcement post.
Oliogu has FIBA experience with the Team Canada Junior National team. He averaged 10.2 points and 4.2 assists during the 2024 U18 Americas Championships. He hopes to one day represent Canada in the Olympics.
The small forward is the fourth commit in Thad Matta’s 2025 class. Oliogu will join Azavier Robinson, Jack McCaffery and Jackson Keith. Butler had the No. 19 class in the country before Oliogu’s commitment, per 247Sports. That ranking is bound to rise.
