Lino Mark, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard from Notre Dame Sherman Oaks (CA) and the Oakland Soldiers AAU program, has trimmed his list to four schools and set an announcement date, he told ZAGSBLOG.
Ranked the No. 15 point guard in the 247Sports.com Composite, Mark is down to Rutgers, USC, West Virginia and Seton Hall and will announce Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Pacific/9:30 p.m. Eastern.
He cut LMU, TCU, UC-Santa Barbara and Utah from his previous list of eight.
He broke down all four schools:
USC: “They have an amazing experienced coaching staff that could be very beneficial to achieving my goals. That’s the school I grew up watching and wanting to be a part of. It’s hometown.”
Rutgers: “I loved the staff and opportunity given to me. The team environment and hospitality was like no other on my official visit. I can see myself striving there and accomplishing my goals.”
Seton Hall: “I got the most respect in the world for coach Sha [Shaheen Holloway] and the rest of the coaching staff. They keep it real with me all the time and our relationship goes beyond just on the court. Another place were I believe I can strive in.”
West Virginia: “I believe this could be a great opportunity and a great fit to the program. Loved the coaching staff and the team environment there.”
