Brian Dutcher and San Diego State have secured a highly touted high school prospect. Four-star small forward Elzie Harrington announced his commitment to the Aztecs on Wednesday.
Harrington originally committed to Harvard and then decommitted and chose USC in December. However, the small forward reopened his recruitment again in early April. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 16.4 points, 5.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds for St. John Bosco during his senior season.
The California native will remain in his home state as a part of a San Diego State program that went 14-6 in the Mountain West division, including an appearance in the Big Dance, where they lost in the first round to UNC.
Harrington is the second high school commit for San Diego State, joining four-star forward Tae Simmons.
