The No. 55 recruit in the 2025 class is heading to VCU.
Four-star recruit Nyk Lewis will play for the Rams next season, he announced on his Instagram on Friday.
The point guard from Gonzaga College originally committed to Xavier, but decommitted after Xavier’s former head coach Sean Miller left to coach at Texas.
The Washington native was the No. 13 recruit at his position and the No. 3 ranked prospect in his state.
He will join VCU’s new head coach, Phil Martelli Jr., and several transfer portal acquisitions to bolster the Rams’ roster next season.
VCU’s transfer portal acquisitions include UConn transfer Ahmad Nowell, Bryant transfers Barry Evans and Keyshawn Mitchell and Oregon transfer Jadrian Tracey
VCU led the Atlantic 10 with a 15-3 conference record but was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
