Texas A&M has secured its third transfer portal acquisition.
Indiana transfer Mackenzie Mgbako will play for the Aggies next season, he announced Thursday.
The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 12.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game for the Hoosiers in his sophomore season. The New Jersey native played both of his collegiate seasons at Indiana but will now move on to the SEC.
Texas A&M will be under a new head coach this season. Bucky McMillan was introduced as the program’s newest coach after Buzz Williams departed to coach at Maryland.
The Aggies went 11-7 in the SEC, college basketball’s most brutal conference. They were eliminated by Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
They have also signed North Alabama transfer Jacari Lane and Kansas transfer Zach Clemence.
