Class of 2025 five-star Darryn Peterson has set his decision date, he confirmed to ZAGSBLOG. The combo guard will announce on Friday, Nov. 1.
Peterson is down to four schools: Kansas, Kansas State, Ohio State and USC. He’s visited all of his finalists officially, with the most recent visit being Kansas State (Sept. 27). Kansas was his first visit in June, and he took USC and Ohio State in August.
The guard broke down his visit to Kansas here and his USC trip here.
His father, Darryl Peterson, said Kansas sees him as the “face of the program.” Peterson is an Adidas high school NIL athlete and plays for Adidas sponsored Prolific Prep in California. The only option out of his top four that is Adidas sponsored is Kansas.
Peterson played his summer ball for Phenom United’s Adidas 3SSB program. Through 12 games, Peterson averaged 23.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He shot 49.7% from the floor and 16-of-52 (30.8%) from three.
