Providence forward Bryce Hopkins has entered the transfer portal after playing just three games this season per Rob Reinhart
The Senior forward averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds during his limited time on the court after recovering from a torn ACL last season. He is expected to attract interest from many programs despite the concerns about his health but he will be entering the portal with a “DO NOT CONTACT” tag, indicating his mind is likely already set on his next team.
Hopkins has not been officially granted a medical redshirt year but he likely will. After returning from his torn ACL in December, Hopkins suffered a bone bruise that kept him out for the remainder of the season.
Hopkins began his college career in Kentucky before transferring to Providence after his freshman year. In the NIL era, it is more and more common to see a player wear multiple jerseys throughout their college careers.
