Purdue acquires its second player on the same day as it looks to retool its roster.
The Boilermakers officially announced the signing of North Florida transfer Liam Murphy on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 13.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in his senior season. The Staten Island native retains his eligibility despite being a senior since he has only played three seasons of his college career, two at Columbia and his most recent season at North Florida.
Murphy is a career 38.7% 3-point shooter and will certainly space the floor for the Boilermakers next season
Purdue also acquired Israeli prospect Omer Mayer on the same day. Purdue went 13-7 in the Big Ten and made it to a Sweet 16 matchup against Houston.
The Boilmakers also secured the dominant big man out of South Dakota State, Oscar Cluff.
