Wagner transfer Mevlin Council Jr. has committed to St. Bonaventure, he announced on Instagram Tuesday.
The 6-foot-4 guard out of Rochester, N.Y., was a key piece in Wagner’s NEC title run last season, averaging 14.9 points and 5.7 rebounds. He posted 21 points and 7 assists against Howard in the First Four and dropped 18 against North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Council is the Bonnies’ second transfer pickup this offseason, joining 6-foot-5 combo guard Chance Moore out of Missouri State.
Moore averaged 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds last season en route to MVC All-Bench team honors.
