
Kori Edmondson was a unanimous all-conference first-team selection.
Eight Maryland women’s lacrosse players brought home Big Ten season honors, the conference announced Tuesday. The No. 7 Terps garnered a first-team and three second-team nods.
Kori Edmondson headlined the pack as a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten first team. The five-time Big Ten Midfielder of the Week has posted the seventh-most goals (43) in the conference, while securing 57 draw controls, a team-high 31 ground balls and forcing 17 turnovers.
Chrissy Thomas was named to the All-Big Ten second team and has been the team’s top distributor. She ranks sixth in the conference with 32 assists, moving her up to 10th all-time in program history in career assists. The graduate student has also notched 12 goals.
Neve O’Ferrall has been an anchor in Maryland’s defense, helping her earn an All-Big Ten second-team honor. O’Ferrall is a lockdown defender, using her quick stickwork to corral 24 ground balls and cause a team-high 19 turnovers.
Kayla Gilmore is having a stellar freshman campaign. She secured an All-Big Ten second-team selection and a spot on the All-Big Ten freshman team. Gilmore has been a staple in the Terps’ faceoff unit, gathering a team-high 67 draw controls this season. She has also contributed 13 goals and nine assists.
Fellow first-years Devin Livingston, Emma Abbazia and Shelby Sullivan were also named to the All-Big Ten freshman team. The trio has accounted for 45 goals, 25 ground balls and 11 assists.
Celia Pell received the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
