Moore, listed at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, spent his freshman season at Western Carolina. He appeared in all 12 games, totaling 18 tackles (five solo), three tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and a touchdown.
A Decatur, Georgia, native, Moore was a three-star recruit coming out of Columbia High School in 2024. He was the No. 167-ranked defensive lineman and No. 161-ranked player in Georgia in his class, according to 247Sports.
Maryland’s defensive line was depleted from graduation and the transfer portal, but Moore joins Ohio transfer Cam Rice in the unit with a chance to see significant playing time.
