I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the coaching staff, teammates, trainers, and fans for your encouragement and belief in me. As I enter the portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining, I’m excited for this next chapter in my life. Thank you again for the love! ❤️ https://t.co/Ewkyn2UNo8

With Stephens in the portal, Maryland is expected to field an entirely new roster for the 2025–26 season.
Stephens, a 6-foot-3 redshirt sophomore, spent two seasons with the Terps, but missed the entire 2023–24 campaign due to injury, earning a medical redshirt. In total, he appeared in just seven games for Maryland, logging 37 minutes and scoring nine points while shooting 3-of-12 from beyond the arc.
Before transferring to Maryland, Stephens played his freshman year at Loyola Marymount, where he averaged six points per game and ranked third on the team with 49 made 3-pointers. He was rated a two-star recruit out of high school by 247Sports.
