Maryland track & field announced its first signee of the 2025 class Thursday.

Riley Herdson, a distance runner from Ellicott City, Maryland, officially signed with the Terps. Herdson attends Centennial High School, where she won the 2A state cross country championship in November.
Herdson and the rest of her class will be freshmen for the 2025-26 season. The Terps next compete on Jan. 18 at the Nittany Lion Challenge in State College, Pennsylvania.
