Maryland men’s soccer players Leon Koehl and William Kulvik were selected in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft on Dec. 20.
Koehl, a standout midfielder, was picked 64th overall by Sporting Kansas City. He capped off his collegiate career with first-team All-Big Ten honors, tying for the team lead with seven goals and adding two assists. He converted all seven of his penalty kick attempts.
Kulvik, a dominant presence at center back, went 83rd overall to Atlanta United. The 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year anchored Maryland’s defense, contributing two goals and two assists, while logging 1,691 minutes — the second-highest total on the team.
