Phillips, who transferred from Tennessee in 2023, played in all 25 games and racked up 57 tackles and 2.5 TFLs in his two seasons at Maryland.
He is not ranked on Pro Football Focus’ 2025 NFL Draft big board of 306 players, which would make an undrafted free agent.
“A special thank you to Coach Locksley, Coach Brian Williams, Coach Ryan Davis and his staff, and the academic and athletic department as a whole,” Phillips said on X. “I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a part of my journey.”
