This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.
No. 7-seed Maryland men’s lacrosse will face No. 1-seed Notre Dame in the national championship game at noon instead of the originally scheduled time of 1 p.m., it was announced Sunday.
The game, held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, was rescheduled due to potential severe weather. It will still air on ESPN and be broadcasted on ESPN Radio.
The Terps are competing in their eighth national championship game under head coach John Tillman and aim for their third title in the last eight years. However, they must overcome the formidable Fighting Irish, the 2023 national champions, who have not lost a game since February.
