This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.
Maryland men’s lacrosse made headlines Thursday with notable activity in the transfer portal. Four-year attackman Eric Malever entered the portal, while Fairfield’s lefty attackman Bryce Ford is joining the Terps, according to Ty Xanders on X.
Malever experienced a decline in his performance in 2024, scoring just 15 goals and providing 22 assists as a senior. This follows an impressive start to his college career in College Park, where he tallied 105 points in his first three seasons and was ranked as a top-10 recruit nationally. Notably, he contributed 48 points to the 2022 national championship team.
On the other hand, Bryce Ford is a two-time Second-Team All-CAA selection, who scored an impressive 39 goals this spring. His distinguished career at Fairfield concludes with a total of 102 goals and 60 assists.
