Mike Macdonald isn’t the only prominent coach leaving the Baltimore Ravens this offseason.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Miami Dolphins are hiring Anthony Weaver as their defensive coordinator. He has been the assistant head coach and defensive line coach for the Ravens since 2022.
Weaver has become a well-respected coach in the NFL due to his work with the Bills, Browns, Texans and Ravens over the years.
Baltimore’s defense led the league in sacks under Weaver’s command this season. Clearly, the Dolphins liked what they saw from his defensive line, and rightfully so.

Weaver has excelled in Baltimore and was a finalist for the #Commanders HC job as well.

Weaver actually received interest from the Washington Commanders for their head coaching job this offseason. If he has success with the Dolphins next season, he could be a popular candidate during the 2025 hiring cycle.
As for the Ravens, they’ll have to find a coach capable of teaching the defensive line now that Weaver is gone. They’ve already named Zach Orr their defensive coordinator for the 2024 season.
