The Baltimore Ravens currently hold the No. 22 overall selection in the first round of the 2023 draft. While plenty can change in the weeks leading up to the draft and even on draft night regarding where Baltimore selects, there should be multiple quality options available when the Ravens are on the clock.
When listing out a dream 2023 draft target for each NFL team, David Kenyon of Bleacher Report had his choice for Baltimore be on the defensive side of the ball in South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith. When explaining his decision, Kenyon talked about how the team could be entering an offseason of transition at cornerback and Smith could give them a effective option at the position.
“Although the Ravens’ coverage unit improved in the back half of 2022, it could be entering an offseason of transition. Marcus Peters is a free agent, and Kyle Fuller might not be a priority as he recovers from a torn left ACL. Targeting a rookie, such as Cam Smith, would give Baltimore a cost-effective addition at a premier position.”
