There are some players that are just different in the National Football League and of those players got the best of DeMeco Ryans’ Texans on Saturday.
After going into the second half tied 10-10, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens scored 24 unanswered points to advance to the AFC Championship.
Asked about Lamar’s performance over the final two quarters, Ryans simply said: “That’s why he’s the MVP.”

“That’s why he’s the MVP.”

Lamar Jackson finished 16-of-22 for 152 yards with two touchdowns through the air while adding another 100 yards and pair of scores with his legs.
The former MVP showed up when his team needed him most coming out of the halftime locker room and it was enough to get Baltimore to its first AFC title game since 2012.
After the season he had, Jackson is unlikely to be a “former” MVP for much longer. A second Most Valuable Player award seems inevitable now.
Now the Ravens will host either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills next round as they move one step closer to another Super Bowl appearance. We’ll know after Sunday night.
