ESPN analyst Jeff Saturday won’t be very popular in Baltimore this week, that’s for sure.
While on “First Take” this Tuesday morning, Saturday argued that Lamar Jackson is not the MVP of the league this season. This was after Jackson had 252 passing yards, 45 rushing yards, two touchdowns and no turnovers against the 49ers.
Instead, Saturday believes 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is the MVP through Week 16.
NFL fans wasted no time mocking Saturday on social media for this take.
LOL, Jeff Saturday proving why he was such a terrible coach.

“So Lamar Jackson ball out last night, like he been doing. And this dude Jeff Saturday get on first take and say CMC is the MVP,” one fan tweeted. “How bruh how? When Henry ran for 2,000 yards in a season.”

“Jeff Saturday is the biggest ravens and Lamar hater,” another fan said. “Shame on you! Most valuable player. Not Best stat award.”

McCaffrey has been outstanding this season and deserves to be in the MVP conversation. And honestly, If all goes well for him and the 49ers, he could end up winning the award.
As of now though, Lamar Jackson has to be the MVP favorite heading into this weekend.
