Earlier this year, Michigan edge rusher David Ojabo suffered a torn Achilles during his pro day. Although he fell out of the first round because of his injury, he didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called on Day 2 of the draft.
The Baltimore Ravens selected Ojabo with the No. 45 overall pick.
Ojabo may have to miss some time to start the 2022 season, but the Ravens are obviously drafting him because they value his long-term potential.
During his final season of college football, Ojabo had 35 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11 sacks and five forced fumbles for the Wolverines.

The Ravens have already selected Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton and Iowa offensive lineman Tyler Linderbaum. Any production they get from Ojabo this year will be an added bonus.
Ojabo, an All-Big Ten performer, has received praise from scouts for his “unpredictable” pass-rush plan and fluid hips.
If Ojabo can return to full strength, the Ravens may have landed the steal of the draft.
