Malik Cunningham has changed positions with the Baltimore Ravens.
Cunningham, who came to the NFL as a quarterback, is now listed as a wide receiver. He was catching passes during OTAs on Thursday, per Ryan Mink.
He’s been with the Ravens since this past December and only appeared in one game for them after he was poached from the New England Patriots practice squad.
Cunningham went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft before signing with the Patriots before the season. He also only appeared in one game for them before joining the Ravens.
He was at Louisville from 2018-22 and was one of the top quarterbacks in the ACC. He ranks fourth in school history with 9,664 passing yards and third in school history with 3,184 rushing yards.
Cunningham also completed 62.6% of his passes and compiled 70 touchdowns with only 29 interceptions.
The Ravens are hoping they can use him at wide receiver for a good chunk of snaps during games this season. He’s dynamic with the ball in his hands and the Ravens want to utilize that.
The Ravens enter the 2024 season as Super Bowl contenders after losing in the AFC Championship Game this past January.
