Last night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens was objectively the worst game that Brock Purdy has had for the San Francisco 49ers since joining the team last year. But 49ers tight end George Kittle isn’t worried.
Speaking to the media after last night’s 33-19 loss to the Ravens, Kittle made it clear that he still has faith in Purdy. His message for the second-year quarterback was a simple one: “Keep slinging it.”
“I just kept telling Brock, ‘Just keep slinging it, man.’ We’re the No. 1 seed in the NFC for a reason: because you sling the ball, you get it to our playmakers in space,” Kittle said.
Purdy left the game with a stinger after throwing his fourth interception of the day. He finished the game 18 of 32 for 255 yards and no touchdowns.
Sam Darnold finished the game for Purdy and had one touchdown and one interception.

It’s too early to say that things might be unraveling for Purdy and the 49ers. It was just the third multi-interception game he’s ever had and only the fourth where he had more interceptions than touchdowns.
These final two games against the Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Rams will be his chance to get back to normal.
