The Houston Texans offense hasn’t been able to do much in terms of points against the Baltimore Ravens today. But their special teams have more than made up the difference.
After falling behind 10-3 in the second quarter, the Texans were struggling to move the ball at all, totaling less than 100 yards of offense. They managed to force the Ravens into a three-and-out after yet another failed drive, and that’s when Steven Sims worked his magic.
With Ravens punter Jordan Stout kicking from his 22-yard line and backed up to about the eight-yard line, he kicked a line drive 45 yards downfield. Sims caught the ball with some good special teams blocking and scurried up the middle.
When he hit the 50-yard line, Sims lucked out as two would-be tacklers collided into each other and then it was off to the races. He turned on the afterburners and nobody was able to catch him up the sideline as he ran the ball in for a 67-yard punt return touchdown.
And with that, the game was tied at 10-10.

It’s been a low-scoring game in Baltimore despite the Ravens seemingly getting the better of the Texans on offense at every turn.
But football is a game of inches and the Ravens’ missed tackles on that punt return could be the difference between winning and losing this game.
The game is being played on ABC.
