It was a tough afternoon for the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday but coach John Harbaugh wants his quarterback to keep his head up high.
After hosting what some called the biggest game in the franchise’s history, the Ravens were unable to walk out of M&T Bank Stadium with a win. Turnovers, back-breaking penalties and a confusing abandonment of the run game all played a role in Baltimore’s loss. As did the Chiefs’ strong defense and early offensive output.
“I told [Lamar to] stand up tall,” Harbaugh said, via Ravens.com. “He’s had a great season. His performance today was all heart. He fought. He went out there and gave it everything he had, so I don’t think that’s anything that I’d be disappointed in.”
“I’m proud of the season they had.”

It was another playoff loss for Jackson and the Ravens in which they were favored but Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and the Chiefs showed their experience when it mattered most.
Jackson is likely to be this year’s league MVP for a second time. But you have to imagine he’d rather have that Lombardi in his trophy case instead.
