Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens had arguably their most impressive win of the season with their 33-19 win over the San Francisco 49ers last night. After the game, Jackson had a bold message for everyone.
Speaking to the media after the win, Jackson made it clear that his focus is to “finish the season” in a way that they couldn’t back in 2019 when they had the league’s best record.
“We know what it was in 2019 when we were playing against [teams] like this [and] winning regular season games. When the time came, we didn’t finish the season,” Jackson said, via ProFootballTalk. “We’re just going to keep taking it a day at a time, a practice at a time and a game at a time. That’s all I’m focused on right now.”
Jackson won the MVP award back in 2019 while leading the Ravens to a 14-2 record, only to lose in the Divisional Round to the Tennessee Titans.

The 2023 season has seen Jackson improve by leaps and bounds as a passer while the defense has been one of the league’s best. The Ravens defense is ranked first in points allowed and sixth in yards allowed.
With the way the Ravens shut down the 49ers last night, they have all of the tools a team needs to make a deep run in the postseason.
Of course, similar things were said in 2019…
