Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is heading into the final year of his rookie contract and extension talks have seemingly stalled. But amid reports that he may be on the outs with the organization, Jackson wants to clear the air.
Taking to Twitter this morning, Jackson stated that he loves the Ravens and is not leaving. He called on people to stop putting out “that false narrative” that he’s thinking about leaving.
“I love my Ravens I don’t know who the hell putting that false narrative out that I’m having thoughts about leaving,” Jackson wrote. “stop tryna read my mind.”
While it’s true that we can’t read Jackson’s mind, we can still speculate as to what his current situation means. The fact that he hasn’t signed an extension ahead of the 2022 season might be a bit worrying to Ravens fans.

Lamar Jackson earned NFL MVP honors in his second year in the NFL. He broke the single-season rushing record for a quarterback as the Ravens went 13-3 and won the AFC North title.
But 2021 was a frustrating season for the Ravens. An injury to Jackson late in the season caused them to miss the playoffs. Jackson still made the Pro Bowl, but had the highest interception rate of his career.
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has made it clear that he wants to see Jackson extended. It now comes down to Ravens GM Eric DeCosta to make an offer and Jackson to accept it.
Will Lamar Jackson sign a contract extension with the Ravens before the 2022 season?
