Two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will square off in the AFC Championship Game this Sunday in Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson.
Mahomes was efficient against the Bills this past Sunday, completing 17-of-23 pass attempts for 215 yards with two touchdowns. Jackson, meanwhile, had 152 passing yards, 100 rushing yards and four total touchdowns in a blowout win over the Texans.
During this Wednesday’s media availability, Jackson was asked what he likes about competing against Mahomes. His answer was pretty great.
“I don’t like competing against him at all,” Jackson replied with a smile. “He’s a great quarterback – definitely a Hall of Famer. It’s a no-brainer. Just two greats going toe-to-toe in a heavyweight matchup. That’s what I see.”

Jackson will probably need to outperform Mahomes if he’s going to lead the Ravens to the Super Bowl. That’s easier said than done, but it is possible.
In fact, Jackson led the Ravens to a 36-35 win over the Chiefs during the 2021 season.Â
Kickoff for the AFC Championship Game is at 3 p.m. ET.Â
